Recipe for Overnight Oat

Overnight Oats

Whats the hype with this overnight oats recently? Well, this is probably one of the most nutritional packed, easiest to prepare and on the go breakfast you can ever have.


What's your healthy ingredients?



Carbohydrates: Rolled oats


Protein: milk and yogurt (prefer non-flavoured)


Fiber: Chia seeds and fruit of choice 

Flavouring: Pure honey (optional)


Method:

  1. Pour the rolled oats into a glass jar, approximately ¼ of the jar filled.
  2. Pour milk into the jar and make sure the rolled oats are fully soaked.
  3. Add in 2 tablespoons of yogurt and 1 tablespoon of chia seeds.
  4. Add in 1 teaspoon of pure honey for flavor.
  5. Place it into your fridge to soak it overnight.
  6. Cut the fruits of choice (mine is grapes as shown in the photo) and put It into your overnight oat.
  7. Top up with nuts if you like a little bit of crunch in your overnight oat.
p/s: you can put more than 1 type of fruits if you like

 Now! you are good to go :)

Recipes for easy cooking at home | Grill up your dinner

GRILL UP YOUR DINNER

What's your healthy ingredients?

Fiber
Carrot – cut in cubes
Cherry tomatoes
Broccoli – cut in cubes
Mushroom – cut in cubes (optional)

Protein
Chicken breast/ Fish fillet/ salmon  
Carbohydrates:
Potatoes – cut in cubes

Fats
Olive oil / cooking coconut oil

Spices
Mixed herbs
Salt
Pepper
Chilli powder (optional)

How to cook it?

Preboil the potatoes, carrots and broccoli to 70% cooked. ( by 70% means that your fork is able to go through it with a little bit of force)

Placed all the preboiled ingredients in cold water and set aside.

Pre- heat your oven at 240 degree/400 Fahrenheit for 5 -10 minutes.

Marinate your choice of protein with salt, pepper and your choice of oil. ( use it immediately or keep in the fridge for 30 minutes or overnight – your choice).

Remove the cooking tray from the oven and layer with your choice of oil, before placing the ingredients.

Place the preboiled potatoes, broccoli, carrots, cherry tomatoes on the cooking tray sprinkle with salt, pepper, mixed herbs, chilli powder (optional) and your choice of oil.

Place your choice of protein on top and put it back into the oven.

Grill at 240 degree/400 Fahrenheit fro 20 -30 minutes.

Your dinner is ready now!
